Wolf Therapy by Wolf Connection

One of our volunteers visited the Wolf Connection in California with her daughter suffering from PTSD and related medical trauma. Meeting and walking with the wolves was one of the most therapeutic experiences for her little girl and changed her life. It was at that moment they realized the power of the wolves and other wildlife in the healing of a human heart.

The Wolf Therapy programs are open to all walks of life and not just kids. They work with foster care organizations, probation camps, veterans, anti-recidivism advocates, and corporate groups, as well as offering immersive programs for female-identifying adults. These programs work with the intricate relationship of wolves and humans through conversations and experience with wolves.

Wolf Connection is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and global innovator in facilitating the restorative human-animal relationship with a unique focus on Wolf Therapy® through the direct relationship with wolves. Their programs encourage all beings to believe in their worthiness and capacity for personal growth, as well as the power of the pack. Big Talons also shares the same philosophy and mission.

The Wolf Connection has also created Wolf Lessons for Human Lives, a 12-module program for schools and classrooms that has been funded by the California Mental Health Services Authority in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health, Los Angeles County. They have an amazing program and have been conducting formal evaluations since 2017 and are developing an evaluation strategy to measure the impact and user experience of the online program in collaboration with Ascending Edge Evaluation and partners from UCLA. We honor and support such like-minded souls on a mission to educate, transform and preserve these wild animals and to help unify the bond with humans and animals via education and therapeutic programs such as their Wolf Therapy and annual Walk with the Wolves and other amazing educational opportunities.
